The Community Manager at Impact Hub Baltimore manages the membership business unit and ensures growth and retention of the member community through: the execution of a marketing and program strategy; individualized growth plans with members; creating systems to make sure the space is well stocked and run smoothly; and initiating and developing partnerships to grow both the size and resources of a diverse and vibrant member community.
The Community Manager will build and maintain systems, and manage projects that make Impact Hub a friendly, reliable, and inspiring place to work.
The Community Manager manages a cohort of 10-15 work-trade program participants, who assist with administrative tasks and ensure a quality experience for members. They are the first point of contact for members and work with the entire IHB team to ensure that members feel welcomed, connected, and supported.
Impact Hub Baltimore’s Grow Program is managed and overseen by the Community Manager. Participants in this support program are recruited and coached by the person in this position. This program consists of facilitating peer circles, identifying trainers and advisors for our new entrepreneurs, and providing one-on-one support.

Members and non-members alike will see Impact Hub as their home base and will recommend it to their peers as a resource for entrepreneurial and innovative change making.
-Ensure quality member experience
-Manage membership business unit (revenue, expenses & metrics)
-Implement marketing & communications strategy (newsletters, signage & outreach)
-Generate leads & drive sales for membership
-Organize tours & outreach for new member recruitment
-Oversee individualized member orientation and onboarding
-Recruit, train, and manage Community Leads (a worktrade program)
-Manage non-member bookings of the conference room and small meeting room
-Manage member intake and invoicing via management platform Cobot
-Foster community culture through individual relationships and member programming
-Proactively communicate with members and respond to requests. Troubleshoot as needed.
-Maintain supplies for staff and members
-Experience with recruiting, hiring, and training long-term volunteers
-Adept at communications and content creation for newsletters and web features
-Ability to devise projects, delegate responsibilities and see projects through to completion
-Exceptional multitasking, ability to split attention into a variety of real time and long term avenues in a busy and fast-paced environment
-Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
-Skilled at managing multiple people and priorities
-Clear, positive, and professional communicator
-Entrepreneurial attitude. No problem is too big or too small to tackle.
-Collaborative attitude with a desire to work on business projections, big picture visioning, community initiatives, and detailed business operations.
-Innovative in developing solutions, willingness to take on tasks outside of job description
-Knowledge of the Baltimore entrepreneurial landscape and resources for small business owners and social innovators.

The position is full time (40 hours / week) starting June 2018 and reports to the Business and Operations Director. Compensation ranges from $35,000 to 40,000 per year (commensurate with experience), and includes benefits, and incentive pay.
